Location: Preferably at our HQ in Oslo, Norway (open to the right remote applicant)
Engagement: Part-Time (with possibility of growing into a full-time position)
WHO WE ARE
We’re an Oslo-based startup that has developed a specialized IoT platform to help museums and cultural heritage institutions monitor and maintain their indoor climate conditions. By automating and improving how art and historical artifacts are preserved, our solution is rapidly gaining traction both in Norway and internationally.
Our small but dynamic team consists of experts in art conservation, computer engineering, finance, sales, and product design—each passionate about blending technology and culture to protect some of the world’s most valuable collections. As we scale, especially in the UK market, we’re seeking an experienced, hands-on Marketing Lead to orchestrate and elevate our marketing efforts.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Strategic Marketing Leadership
- Develop a Comprehensive Marketing Strategy: Align with sales, operations, and product goals to map out marketing tactics that speak directly to museum professionals, conservators, and other stakeholders in cultural heritage.
- Brand Positioning & Thought Leadership: Build our reputation as the go-to solution by devising brand campaigns, speaking opportunities, and content strategies that resonate with our target audience.
Performance & Digital Marketing
- SEO & Paid Advertising: Lead SEO initiatives and manage paid campaigns (search, social, etc.) to drive qualified leads and brand awareness.
- Analytics & Optimization: Track KPIs, analyze campaign data, and optimize for conversions and ROI.
- Webflow Updates & Content: Oversee website structure, user experience, and content, ensuring it’s optimized for discoverability and conversions.
Collaboration & Execution
- Content Development: Work closely with our in-house designer to produce engaging visuals, blog posts, and other assets that emphasize our unique value in the market.
- Conference & Event Strategy: Identify and coordinate speaking opportunities at relevant conferences or industry events, working with in-house subject matter experts (like our V&A alum) to position us as thought leaders.
- Cross-Functional Teamwork: Act as a central hub for marketing tasks, ensuring sales, product, and investor relations stay aligned with the marketing roadmap.
Process & Systems Setup
- CRM & Automation: Optimize HubSpot (or similar tools) for lead tracking, nurturing, and reporting.
- Playbook Creation: Document and systematize marketing processes (buyer personas, messaging frameworks, multi-channel strategies) for future scalability.
WHO YOU ARE
- Marketing Generalist with Depth: You have broad experience across branding, content, SEO, paid advertising, and product marketing. You’re hands-on and comfortable rolling up your sleeves to execute.
- International Focus: You’re adept at localizing campaigns for audiences in the UK, US, continental Europe (and potentially beyond).
- Strategic & Tactical: You can craft high-level strategies yet aren’t afraid of routine tasks like updating a website page or tweaking an ad campaign.
- Collaborative & Self-Starter: You thrive in a lean startup environment, can juggle multiple priorities, and bring structure to chaotic environments.
- Communication Pro: You know how to distill complex ideas into clear, engaging language—especially crucial when dealing with technical or specialized audiences (like museum conservators).
Nice-to-Have
- Background or affinity for museums, cultural heritage, or IoT products.
- Familiarity with niche B2B SaaS expansion into new markets.
WHY JOIN US
- Impact & Purpose: Contribute to preserving valuable art and historical collections globally.
- Growth Opportunity: Start part-time and grow with us—potentially transitioning into a full-time leadership role.
